SeameadowsWhatever the reason, all young people living at Seameadows Children’s Home are unable to live full time with their families at the moment. Their overall purpose is, therefore, to provide a safe, warm, nurturing and empowering environment for young people to live in and to move appropriately on from, when they are ready. Seameadows offers planned placements of short, medium and long care to three young people aged 10-18 years on admission, male or female. The home is situated in Ramsgate close to local transport and local amenities and can also take emergency to planned placements. Seameadows is a therapeutic children's home and offers a variety of therapists to deal with different types of behaviour. They also have a purpose built school which offers the national curriculum and ASDAN (alternative curriculum). Seameadows school is dedicated to the personal development of all our students. They base this around developing their social and interpersonal skills through experimental learning activities, in order to raise levels of achievement, skills and aspirations. The school delivers a high quality provision, utilising well equipped learning areas and skilled staff. Seameadows provides a positive, attractive and personalised learning environment for all our pupils, ensuring that we meet the objectives set out for all the young people in our care. |
