Highfield HouseHighfield House is a beautiful 5 bed roomed home that is set in a semi rural location on the edge of Cheshire/Wirral Border and they except male or female aged 10 to 17 years of age with emotional and behavioural problems as well as EBD/LBD. Within the home there are three very large living areas, such as a main communal living area with LCD television and very modern age appropriate furnishings. Highfield House also offers a large games room where activities can take place and young people can access a PC. Games consoles will be available and a variety of books and board games are supplied for our children and young people to use at their leisure. The games room is also fitted with a large LCD television which allows alternative choices. A large communal dining room is available which again will enhance inclusion at meal times and assist with the healthier homes project and food choices of our oung people. SSC staff will encourage theme nights and a variety of different food tasting evenings. As a risk management feature small discreet smoke alarms are fitted within each bedroom and each room has a led light above the doorframe coupled with silent door sensors. This will be linked to a response panel in the Staff sleeping in room in case any young person is placing themselves at risk. Separate toilet and bathing facilities are available for both male and female young people. There Experience and friendly staff team will ensure young people placed within their care feel secure and settled. On arrival the young person will be allocated a key worker who meets with them on a regular basis and works closely with the in-house clinician. The clinician provides therapeutic support to the young person to develop, monitor and review behaviour management strategies. |
